We'll focus on two of the best high-end laptop processors in our Processor Rating - AMD Ryzen 7 1700 and Intel Core i7-7920HQ.
In fact, the Ryzen processor is desktop, but it´s consumption and temperatures are considerably low, so it is also used in gaming laptops. ASUS has done just that on its ROG GL702ZC, although this is at the expense of slightly higher temperatures and shorter battery life.
For his rival we have chosen the Intel Core i7-7920HQ, which is not the highest Intel Core processor, but those over it are overclocked.
On the other hand, the Intel Core i7-7920HQ has a lower power consumption of 45W, which is an advantage as it increases battery life and makes the processor cooler more easily. However, the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 comes in a significantly more budget laptop - the ASUS ROG GL702ZC, which is the perfect workstation.
All in all, the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 is definitely the winner, but the Intel Core i7-7920HQ is not that far behind, so it's a great alternative.
